ASH Drywall has strengthened its senior leadership team with the promotion of John Abnett to Operations Director.

John joins Scott McLeary on the board, who was formally appointed Commercial Director in August 2025, further strengthening the company’s senior leadership team under new Managing Director Paul Sumpter, supporting the continued development of the business.

Both John and Scott have been with ASH Drywall for more than two decades, bringing extensive experience and a deep understanding of the business, its customers and the industry. Throughout their careers with ASH Drywall, both have been closely mentored by recently departed former directors and founders Dean Ash, Alex Wallace and Steve Jones, gaining valuable knowledge and experience that will continue to shape the company’s future.

Commenting on both promotions, Paul Sumpter said:
